TIYAWNDA (TORONTO)
Tiyawnda/Tia is a Toronto based multidisciplinary artist whose focuses include playwriting, acting, creative non-fiction, music, and comedy. As a comedian she performs sketch, stand-up, improv, and musical comedy.
Their plays have been produced and awarded in the Toronto Fringe Festival, shortlisted at the Yale School of Drama, and received staged readings with Obsidian Theatre and funding from the Ontario Arts Council.
Tia recently finished a run on the Second City Toronto Mainstage ("All Messed Up and Nowhere to Go", "Duel Citizens"), as well performed her first solo sketch comedy show to sold out audiences at Toronto Sketchfest.
