Singer-songwriter Irem Bekter releases her first album of original songs, This Winding Road, with lyrics in English, French and Spanish. This luminous and deeply human project explores the major passages of life: childhood, love, relationships, uprooting, loss, and resilience. Shaped by her journey between Turkey, Argentina, England, and Québec, the album weaves together world rhythms with jazz, indie, and electronic textures. This Winding Road unfolds as a sensitive arc, inviting an attentive and intimate listening experience.
Irem is joined by an exceptional ensemble: David Ryshpan (keyboards, backing vocals), Mathieu Deschenaux (electric bass, double bass), Olivier Bussières (percussion), and Lu Horta (vocal and body percussion, backing vocals), with special guest performers.
