The FMA is back at it! With new renditions of the Arab world’s most famous songs, the series “Les Immortels” will pay tribute to the great names of tarab chaabi, from Sayed Darwish to Ziad Rahbani, not to mention Nazem al-Ghazali, Karem Mahmoud, Sabah, Melhem Barakat and Warda. Led powerfully by Montréal’s top performers of Arab song, Chadi Naddaf, Ghada Derbas, Rami Badr, Thaer Malko and Wissam Amar, the evening will be devoted to classics combining scholarly music with frenetic and contagious beats.
