The first notes come out and you are suddenly elsewhere, wondering where the sounds are coming from and where they will be leading you. Always in delicacy and discretion, l i l a blooms softly with a hazy voice that could sooth or scare any soul.
Sometimes dark folk, sometimes dream pop, sometimes ambient, l i l a’s music somehow hovers like a ghost over this drifting nostalgia seemingly ebbing and flowing with the distant tide.
Less than a year after the release of a first homemade demo EP (‘songs from a room’, Feb. 2018),
l i l a released the EP ‘quiet as fire’ (Nov. 2018). Reflecting on life, solitude, dreams, fears, love, death and losses, the songs form a recollection of four memories, each one of them bringing the listener to a precise and different universe.
With new music on the way, l i l a is a flower you don’t want to miss out.
