M for Montreal presents:
childhood friend for their Montreal debut and Oscar Emch
Wednesday, November 19, 2025
Quai des Brumes
doors: 9 PM | show: 10:30 PM
Montreal premiere :
A visionary artist and jack-of-all-trades, Ludovic Rolland-Marcotte has made his mark in the worlds of music and cinema through rich collaborations and memorable projects. A founding member of the acclaimed duo Kirouac & Kodakludo, he has contributed to projects that have racked up millions of streams (Wesh, AMOS, Summer Pack!) and gotten hundreds of people dancing in notable venues such as Club Soda.
Under his pseudonym childhood friend, he continues his musical exploration with introspective albums such as Slowly Getting Old and the upcoming Like I did for Tommy, which showcase his sensitivity and artistic innovation.
With his eclectic background, Ludovic excels at exploring new artistic forms, whether in music, film, or podcasts. His prolific creativity and constant search for authenticity make him a key artist of his generation.
_____
Oscar Emch presented by Rose Festival
Artist, singer and producer (Luidji, Enchantée Julia, Prince Waly), Oscar Emch is above all a lover of R&B and French chanson. A poet at heart, he thrives on music that elevates everyday stories. After two EPs, his first album Ma Voix was released on March 7, 2025. A 14-track work that is both rich and cohesive—filled with nods to Frank Ocean, Dijon and Childish Gambino—offering something truly unique on the French scene. Saturated, flamboyant melodies, omnipresent guitars that transport us into another world, organic sounds of acoustic drums, piano, violins and Hammond B3 organ. All these elements weave together into a silky atmosphere where R&B, soul and folk blend seamlessly.
