Get ready for a night of improvised theatre and music that will leave your heart replete with thankfulness!

Shakespeare, Off the Ruff brings you an improvised play in the style of The Bard, William Shakespeare. Whether comedy or tragedy, the timeless themes and passionate characters will inspire a show full of mirth and merriment. Past shows have seen fairies trick young lovers, rightful heirs restored over the bodies of the usurpers, fools so simple they have never even seen a duck. Your souls will be struck by these cunning players speaking trippingly on the tongue!

With opening act The Marmaladies! A musical improv group who love to keep things sweet and sunny with their mix of improv platform and piano, ukulele strumming and scenes, and plenty of harmonies sprinkled in between. This lovely group of bards will give you a great time with their skill and creativity. If music be the food of love, play on!

Shakespeare, Off the Ruff: Sir Chris, the Coward of Montreal; Lady Joanna of the Southwest Prefecture; Sir Peter the Heroic; Mariana Princess of Cats; Lord Mike of the Steel City.

The Marmaladies: Tara Nicole Boyce, Andrea Cochrane, Joanna Karel, Emily Speur and Marma-laddie Christian No Relation.

8pm, Friday August 21st at Theatre Sainte-Catherine, $12
