Fall Colours – Sherbrooke Wind Orchestra
When the leaves fall and the air is filled with mystery, the Sherbrooke Wind Orchestra invites you to a concert where fall is tinged with magic.
On Sunday, October 26 at 3 p.m., the Centennial Theatre will become the scene of a musical celebration that will combine golden light, dancing shadows and sound spells.
On the program, bewitching works, where each note seems to invoke the spirits of the season:
Festive Overture – Dmitri Shostakovich: festive sparkle, like a pumpkin masquerade ball.
October – Eric Whitacre: a soft melody, like an autumn mist.
Saga.Candida – Bert Appermont saga: an epic where forgotten legends resonate.
Exultation – Philip Sparke: bursts of joy like will-o'-the-wisps.
Symphony No. 1: A Ghost Story – Randall Standridge: chills are guaranteed in this haunted tale, where witches and ghosts meet.
A concert where music becomes a spell, mixing enchantment and thrill, to celebrate both autumn and the magic of Halloween.
