Cathy Gauthier

With a boldness and outspokenness that leave no one indifferent, Cathy Gauthier has established herself as a leading figure in Quebec comedy since her debut. With four one-woman shows under her belt, she masters her art with a unique and unapologetic flair.

A native of Rouyn-Noranda and a graduate of the École nationale de l’humour, she quickly made a name for herself, notably by being named Breakthrough Artist of the Year at the Just for Laughs Festival in 2003. She went on to take on a string of projects on television and on stage, while launching hit shows such as 100% vache folle, Décoiffe, Pas trop catholique, and Classique.

A multiple award winner, including an Olivier Award for Writer of the Year and a Félix Award for Comedy Show of the Year, Cathy Gauthier continues to pursue a rich and diverse career spanning the stage, television, radio, and new projects.
