The Mosaic Night is a celebration of the cultural richness of Hearst and the Northern region.

Presented in collaboration with the University of Hearst, Collège Boréal and Settlement Services of Northeastern Ontario, this evening will get you moving, introduce you to new flavors, and let you celebrate!

A master percussionist, author, composer, and performer of Senegalese origin, Élage Diouf moved to Canada in 1996 to pursue a musical career that continues to flourish today. He first made a name for himself through his countless collaborations, notably with André “Dédé” Fortin and his band, Les Colocs.

A recognized star in his native Senegal, Élage officially made his mark in Canada in 2010 with the release of his first solo album, Aksil (“welcome” in Wolof). In Wutiko, his new show, he will take you on a journey into his world, which skillfully blends the rhythms of his native Senegal with musical influences from around the world.
