Steeven Labady’s workshops and masterclasses are immersive journeys into the heartbeat of Haitian culture, blending traditional Vodou rhythms and dances with contemporary performance techniques. Drawing from his training as a professional dancer, choreographer, and cultural storyteller, Steeven guides participants through movement that is both technically grounded and spiritually charged.

In each session, participants explore:

Vodou-inspired movement. The steps, gestures, and body language rooted in sacred ceremony. Afro-Caribbean rhythms. Live music and percussion to awaken connection and groove. Storytelling through dance. Embodying the myths, histories, and emotions behind each movement. Creative expression, merging tradition with your own artistic voice.


Workshops are accessible to all levels and can be tailored for:

Performers (actors, dancers, musicians)Educators & cultural organizations Community groups & festival settings.

Every class is a space of learning, liberation, and celebration. Leaving participants not just with new skills, but with a deeper connection to Haitian heritage and themselves.

Steeven Labady Marcel

Steeven Labady is a Haitian-born artist, dancer, choreographer, and creative director based in Montreal. Founder of House of Vodou Productions and House of Vodou Magazine, his work fuses Haitian Vodou heritage with contemporary fashion, music, and performance art. Steeven’s productions transform ancestral traditions into immersive, modern experiences—blending drumming, dance, visual storytelling, and cultural pride. His mission is to celebrate, preserve, and globalize the beauty and depth of Haitian culture while creating space for emerging voices in the arts.
