"The ideal mixture of technical brilliance and gut-punch intensity" — All About Jazz
Grdina/Lillinger • Duo Porject is a high-voltage musical encounter. Blending powerful grooves, free improvisation, and sonic experimentation, Gordon Grdina and Christian Lillinger push the boundaries of their instruments while challenging conventional stylistic categories. Their music brings together electronica, drum and bass, metal, punk, and free jazz in a sound world driven by movement, instinct, and risk.
A JUNO Award-winning artist, Vancouver-based Gordon Grdina has established himself over the past two decades as one of the most distinctive voices in avant-garde jazz and contemporary improvisation, navigating seamlessly between Middle Eastern traditions, experimental rock, and contemporary music. Alongside him, Deutscher Jazzpreis recipient Christian Lillinger is internationally recognized for his radical and innovative approach to rhythm and percussion.
Presented by Traquen’Art as part of its Contempory Music Meetings series.
