FESTIVAL DES MUSICIENS DU MONDE

First part: Geychack in transe - 5:30 pm

Gheychak in trance, a music born from an environment imbued by the trance and the awakening of the senses induced by this ancient cordophone of Central Asia. Gheychak in trance is a poetic vision of music and the effects it produces upon those who approach it.

With Reza Abaee (gheychak), Hamin Honari (percussions) andPierre-Alexandre Maranda (double bass)

2nd part : Piano-sarod duo - 7:30 pm

A meeting issued from a cultivated mix between Brazilian traditions and Hindustani music (India).

With Paulo Bottas (piano) and Aditya Verma (Indian sarod)

The Festival des musiciens du monde is made possible thanks to the financial support of the Canada Council for the Arts, the Conseil des arts et des lettres du Québec, the Conseil des Arts de Montréal and the City of Montreal. The concerts will take place in the Saint-Enfant-Jésus Church in the Mile-End and is specially designed to welcome you in accordance to the sanitary measures in effect.

 

Information and conditions:

-Wearing of the obligatory procedural mask at the entrance, while you are travelling across the church and during all concerts.

-An ensured two-meter distance between spectators (people coming from the same household can be placed side by side).

-Limited places.

-Tickets for concerts can only be purchased online at lepointdevente.com

-Ticket holders must arrive at least 30 minutes before the beginning of the concert.

-Seats will be assigned on the evening of the concert and you will placed by a member of our team (per family bubble, i.e. 2 people maximum side by side; family bubbles of more than 2 will be separated. Families with children will be placed in areas specially arranged for them (4 people maximum). 

-A 45-minute break is planned between the two concerts to allow time for our team to aerate the church and disinfect the spaces and technical equipment between the two concerts.
