What does it mean to be Jewish today? What defines Jewish identity, beyond the cosmopolitanism that is often associated with it? A conversation between French writer Michaël Prazan (Varlam, éd. Rivages, 2023) and documentary filmmaker (Yazuka, Arte, 2024) and historian and scholar Yakov Rabkin, who teaches contemporary Jewish history and the history of science at l’Université de Montréal. He is the author of acclaimed works on Judaism and Israel, translated into several languages (Au nom de la Torah: une histoire de l’opposition juive au sionisme;Comprendre l’État d’Israël).
