LOVA

Discovered by pure chance by the team of Joy Ride Records, the artist from Quebec City immediately became one of the flagship projects of 2020-2021 for the record company. Propelled by his indisputable talent, LOVA has gradually, over the past fifteen months, built up a significant fan base which has even allowed him to multiply his appearances on stage all over Quebec last fall.

Introduced to the general public with his three EPs Cool LOL, Gluant mais hot and EP3, LOVA has already accumulated the accolades of his peers and his new fans who are discovering him day by day. This extraordinary artist already seems to be making his way in the musical landscape of Quebec, while his music has all the necessary elements to appeal to a wide audience, which goes far beyond conventional rap. Halfway between a Post Malone and a Lomepal, LOVA is difficult to categorize as its pop is sometimes urban, its rap sometimes pop and everything is subtly hidden behind an alt-R&B veil.

KEVIN KEVIN

Kevin Kevin is the musical project of the singer-songwriter of Malagasy origin

Kevin Andria. Born in Madagascar, raised in Montreal, Kevin draws inspiration from his environment to translate his origins into music. The idea of musical heredity takes on its full meaning when we look at the creative influences of the young man. Surrounded by an orchestral family, he observes, participates and immerses himself in a festive tradition that leads him to play the piano.

From a young age, his father introduced him to different musical styles ranging from Oscar Peterson's jazz to Christina Aguilera's RnB hits of the early 2000s. see his future in music. The desire to produce melodies and to discover his voice other than by rap led him to produce his first demos. The essence of Kevin Kevin's sound is found at the crossroads of rap, jazz, RnB and gospel. During a long musical break, he tames the world of photography, atmospheres and colors. It was while wearing this hat that he met sound engineer Marius Larue (Hubert Lenoir, KNLO, Robert Robert, LYD), in 2018 during a mixing party. After a few notes on the keyboard, the creative instinct naturally returns to him. The music resumes its place, this time for good. He has since sought to immerse his audience in a mystical “postapocalyptic” universe, but nevertheless filled with hope and light. Behind his RnB sound and his rather rap pen lies a creative process drawing inspiration from his personal and spiritual relationships.

Following the success of the titles Places (2019) and Jesus Piece (2019), Kevin Kevin has carved out a place for himself on the 2019 program of the Festival d'été de Québec with names like Logic, Daniel Caesar, ToBi and many others. Rap and RnB artists. Kevin Kevin joins a new generation of Canadian RnB artists.

In 2020, he met producer and composer David Saysum (Lova, Clara Tetu, Lewis Dice) with whom he produced and launched the demos Problems (2020) and The Bridge (2021); a highlight of his young career. These two most recent demos showcase the talents of vocalist Kevin Kevin, who plays catchy falsettos. Still in the company of his new mentor, the songwriter, producer and performer is currently working on his first EP Newborn, scheduled for 2022. He considers the work to be a rebirth of his sound.

TREI OCHI

Born in Romania in 1999, Trei Ochi is a real music lover! When she was little, she spent her time watching the music videos broadcast on the television channel, KISS FM. Despite the language barrier, she was one with the sound. The voices of solo artists from the local scene, like Alex Velea and Connect-R echoed in the walls of his childhood home. On her small screen, she also lives, Lady Gaga, Rihanna and without forgetting, Miley Cyrus! Arrived in Canada, she grew up in the district of Saint-Michel, in the city of Montreal. Although she had liked sounds in the past, nothing she had heard before had managed to have the same effect on her as the three mixtapes of Abel Tesfaye. Echoes of Silence, Thursday, House of Ballons and the album, Kiss Land will forever remain classics for the European artist. After discovering The Weekend, she came across the works of Drake, Travis Scott and the unique, Kanye West. Music has always been a real lifeline for the sensitive teenager. In 2019, she took headphones with a built-in mic and recorded audio to a beat downloaded from YouTube. Within a year, she purchased her first DAW, a USB mic, and was quick to record and produce her own sounds. His first project "NOT AN ALBUM", was released in 2021. The rest of the story is being written.
