This concert offers a unique encounter between two exceptional musicians: Didem Başar on the kanun and Ziya Tabassian on percussion. Together, they revisit 17th-century Persian and Turkish music, weaving a bridge between tradition and modernity through their own compositions.
Inspired by the melodic and rhythmic refinement of that era, the two artists breathe new life into these repertoires, blending subtlety, virtuosity, and creativity. As the first light of day emerges, their instruments engage in a dialogue, resonating with both the mystery of dawn and the depth of the Levant.
A suspended moment, where echoes of the past intertwine with the sounds of today.
