Duo Vivo is formed by violinists Roxanne Sicard and Richard Zheng. They met at the Conservatoire de musique de Montréal during their studies, and since then have shared the pleasure of keeping classical music alive and accessible. They have performed in concert and collaborated with the Société musicale Fernand-Lindsay - Opus 130 and the Ensemble Vox Luminosa. During the 2021 summer season, they have been invited to perform at the Festival Orford Musique and the Festival de Lanaudière.
Committed to young people, Duo Vivo offers an educational component through Les Ateliers Vivo. In the summer of 2020, Roxanne and Richard set up the first edition of the Camp de violon à la maison, a week of online courses and workshops. The following summer, they were invited as artists in residence at the Olympic Strings Workshops, Port Angeles. In the fall of 2021, they will participate in an artistic residency at Orford Musique.
Duo Vivo is two musicians who combine their passions, violin and ensemble music, to offer you a personalized and dynamic musical experience.
