Ino Casablanca: The art of blending influences
Ino Casablanca is an artist with a unique background, born from the meeting of multiple cultures. Of Moroccan origin, he was born in Spain before moving to France with his family at the age of 12, fleeing the economic crisis of 2008. It was in France that he discovered French rap, a musical genre that quickly became his passion and vocation.
Self-taught, Ino began producing and composing at the age of 14, drawing on the richness of his roots and his background. His musical universe is nourished by his life experiences and a unique cultural diversity that is reflected in every song he creates. By blending his many influences, he manages to create a hybrid sound that is difficult to define, but resolutely fresh and innovative.
With his EP TAMARA, he has created a remarkable work, a true distillation of his musical journey and emotions. This EP, both personal and universal, is a daring mix of styles and sounds, oscillating between rap, acoustic approaches, and more electronic influences. It stands out as a project that challenges the conventions of French rap, at a time when the genre seems to be going round in circles. Ino brings a breath of fresh air with a new approach, both in form and content, offering a unique vision of music.
Just a few months after TAMARA, Ino Casablanca returns with a second EP: EXTASIA. Neither demonstrative nor artificial, the Franco-Moroccan artist constructs instinctive music, nourished by rhythms from elsewhere and melodies without borders, resonating with Caribbean, Maghreb, and Latin echoes. Spotted among the 10 winners of the 2025 Joséphine Prize and featured at the Grünt Festival, he is already making his mark on the French-speaking landscape, charming listeners faster than he can be defined.
