Well-versed B-Boys and B-Girls dancers meet in a supercharged atmosphere of exchange, confrontation and adrenaline. Hosted by an MC, powered by a DJ, and adjudicated by a jury, the battle consists of a series of competitions of solo dance, improvised according to strict guidelines.

JOAT Festival international de street dance is an annual event that offers a week of festivities, activities and performances in Montreal - at Place des Arts and in the heart of the Quartier des spectacles. On the program: high level battles, breaking, popping, Hip Hop, Krump, beatmakers, battle for young people, street dance initiation workshops, master classes, exhibition! An opportunity for the public from all backgrounds to discover some of the Afro-American vernacular dances that have become popular around the world.
