On December 5 at 7:30 pm, the Chœur classique de l'Outaouais invites you to celebrate its 40th anniversary with À tire d’ailes, a joyful concert inspired by the world of birds.
At the heart of the concert is Glenn McClure’s St. Francis in the Americas: A Caribbean Mass, a work the Choir performed in 2001. The voices will be accompanied by the Hands of Steel Ent ensemble, whose distinctive sound will bring a special Caribbean flavour to this vibrant work.
The program also explores the fascinating world of birds through works by Clément Janequin and Felix Mendelssohn, as well as the premiere of a new composition by Frédéric Lacroix, inspired by the Pileated Woodpecker, the emblematic bird of the City of Gatineau.
Under the direction of Tiphaine Legrand, with Anthony Lampron on piano, À tire-d’ailes will be an opportunity to celebrate four decades of music, creativity and meaningful connections with our audience.

Please note that In the reserved section, children aged 12 and under must hold a ticket priced at $40. Complimentary admission for children applies to general admission only.

Tiphaine Legrand
Tiphaine Legrand has a rich background in choir conducting. She studied singing and choir conducting with Chantal Masson-Bourque at Université Laval, then with Nicole Paiement and Robert Ingari at Université de Sherbrooke.
