Dr. Pandit Ranajit Sengupta

Ranajit Sengupta, occupies a very respectable place in the hearts of the followers of Indian music and string instruments throughout the world. From his adolescence, Ranajit, a child prodigy, underwent rigourous training and practice in sarod and established himself as one of the best musicians of his generation.

He is one of the youngest Top Grade Sarod Player from All India Radio & Television and a winner of countless other awards. He has performed in many major music festivals and venues in more than 30 countries including the USA, Canada, Switzerland, France, Germany, Italy, Denmark, The Netherlands, Greece, England, Scotland, Estonia, Russia, Africa, United Arab Emirates, Syria and Caribbean Islands to name a few. He has over 30 CD and DVD releases from around the world.

Ranajit is currently the principal composer and guest conductor for the National Youth Orchestra for Indian Music in England.

Indranil Mallick

Indranil Mallick, a promising tabla player of rare skill, has already established himself both as a soloist and accompanist. Born to a family of genuine music connoisseurs, he received his initial training in tabla when he was only five, from his uncle, Sri Montu Mallick. Later he was trained by Prof. Dhabol Bandyapadhaya. From 1985 he was under the guidance of Sri Uttam Chakraborty, senior disciple of Pandit Swapan Chaudhuri. Now he is under the guidance of Pt. Swapan Chaudhuri . Indranil belongs to Luckhnow Gharana style of tabla. Indranil is a grade 'A' artist of All India Radio, Kolkata where he is featured regularly on programs aired throughout India. He holds a Master Degree in Economics from Rabindra Bharati University, Kolkata.
