A dynamic exploration of rhythmic traditions from the various regions of India are demonstrated in a "Laya Vinyasa" percussion ensemble. The artists will be presenting the intricacies of Tala (Rhythm) and Laya (Tempo) on the Tabla, Mridangam and Kanjira merging the beauty of Raga on the Harmonium. The presentation will include an interactive description and break down of the framework associated with rhythmic systems of the Indian subcontinent.
