The artists compare and contrast two prominent instruments used in Carnatic Music, the Veena and the Mandolin.The veena being an instrument from the ancient times, has been used for thousand years while the Mandolin is a relatively newer addition to the list of instruments in Carnatic music. It was taken from Western music, adapted and introduced into carnatic music by 'Mandolin' Srinivasan. The artists explore the different sounds of these two instruments and display the variety of textures and tones found in Carnatic music.
