The Kathak dancers, Palak Dhiman & Anita Pandey are from the Jaipur and Lucknow Gharana respectively. They take the audience on a journey from the ancient origins of Kathak through its historical transformations and finally to its divergence into different lineages. The repertoire of different types of dances in Kathak performed by them also showcases how both the schools of dance execute many of the same movements, but each with a unique interpretation based on their different regions and contexts.
