Abhijit Pohankar (Voice and Keyboard)

Master of Fusion Music, Abhijit is known for unique style combining traditional and contemporary music. He is the only artist to play Indian classical music on keyboard and is known in this field since 22 years. His first album was recoreded in 1998. He is famous for his album PIYA BAWAI, considered as a landmark in independent Indian music. Son of the legendary classical musician Pandit Ajay Pohankar, Abhijit has collaborated with famous names such as Hariharan, Ghulam Ali, Pandit Vishwamohan Bhatt, Roopkumar Rathod and many others. With more than 35 albums on iTunes and other platforms, Abhijit is one of the most frequently recorded artists in Independent Music since he was 18 years old. With his collaborators Hariharan and Pt. Ajay Pohankar, his pionneering brand called 'Bollywood Gharana', (fusion of Indian classical music and Bollywood songs), has reached nearly 4 million views on Youtube. Bollywood Gharana has been presented in about 50 concerts within 3 months in 2019, creating a major impact on the public. Abhijit Pohankar has presented more than 2000 concerts during 20 years in prestigious venues all across the world.
