The Dièse Onze Jazz Club is proud to present to you this very dynamic and versatile group of young yet already established fusion funk jazz musicians.

Instead of the regular more chill vibe of the Dièse, we thought it would be a good idea to explore more volume, more dynamic, and the bigger space that the O Patro Vys has to offer.... let's Jazz Party!

Carl Mayotte-Basse

Stéphane Chamberland- Batterie

Gabriel Cyr- Guitare

Damien-Jade Cyr- Saxophones

Carl Mayotte Quintet

Winner of the Félix Award for Jazz Album of the Year at the ADISQ in 2022 for his third album Escale, and recipient of the Radio-Canada Jazz Revelation title for 2020–2021, Carl Mayotte is one of the most prominent bassists and jazz musicians in Quebec and Canada. Having begun his professional career at the age of 16 and earned a master’s degree in jazz performance from McGill University, his virtuosity and versatility have been praised by numerous musicians and critics, including legendary bassist Alain Caron and the renowned Bass Magazine. In 2023, he released his fourth album, Carnaval—a tribute to Brazilian music and arguably the most ambitious project of his career. The album was also nominated for multiple awards in Canada in the Jazz Album of the Year category, notably winning the title at the prestigious GAMIQ Awards.
