The St-Hubert Snow Bath

Are you ready to take on the cold wearing nothing but your swimsuit? The Carnival challenges those who are daring and eager for unique experiences. Expect three dips in the snow interspersed with warm breaks.

Event Details

Registration includes a Carnival-themed tuque worth $20, access to the Snow Bath and its amenities, and a pass that grants snow bathers access to all our sites for the remainder of the day. Come celebrate the cold with Bonhomme!

Only 75 spots are available, so be quick! Registration ends on February 2, 2020.

All necessary information will be communicated to participants during the week of February 2, 2020. Participants must be at least 18 years old. Please note that the St-Hubert Snow Bath will take place on a site where access is restricted to owners of the 2020 Carnival Effigy. Although the bathers will receive a special pass that grants them access to the premises with or without an Effigy, their companions must own an Effigy to be allowed on site.

Procedure:

Participants must abide by strict safety rules. Step one is a mandatory 15 to 30-minute intensive warmup session, which is then followed by a series of 2 to 4-minute outings in small groups. Once done, participants return inside to warm up and dry off. Each group will soon leave for a second outing in the snow, this time for 4 to 8 minutes. The length of each outing will depend on the outside temperature on the day of the event. All groups will have another opportunity to warm up and dry off inside, but the last group of the second outing must first remain outside until the St-Hubert Snow Bath ends. This group will soon be joined by all other participants for one last 15 to 20-minute stay in the snow together.
