The Bureau de la vie étudiante invites you to discover the thrills of a traditional Québec evening at the Érablière du Lac Beauport and to enjoy a typical sugar shack meal.

Before the meal, you can visit the Maple Museum, the Animal Museum, the Little farm, or take a walk on the trails. Weather permitting, a bonfire may be lit outside, and lumberjack games offered.

At 7 p.m., a typical meal and maple products will be served. Note that it is an all you can eat concept. During the meal and until 9 p.m., live musician will play traditional Québec folk songs.

After the meal, it will be time to taste the famous maple taffy (tire sur la neige). It is also an all you can eat concept!

Érablière du Lac Beauport: Érablière Lac-Beauport (french only)

A boutique offers a variety of maple products and local crafts.

When: Jeudi le 21 novembre 2024. Départ à 17h, entre les pavillons Ernest-Lemieux et Alphonse-Desjardins. Départ du site à 21h00 et retour sur le campus vers 21h30. 

Cost: $52, including taxes, transportation, the meal, tips and all the activities. Ticket only valid on departure from Université Laval.

Meal: The meal is an all you can eat concept and includes pea soup, meat pie, baked beans with bacon, ham, potatoes, omelet, pancakes and of course maple syrup. Tea and coffee are also offered.

For vegetarians, vegan, gluten-free and those who do not eat pork, you can have an alternative meal. To get it, you must mention it when you buy your ticket. It won't be possible to change your choice after you've bought your ticket. 

There is bar service on site; it is therefore strictly forbidden to bring alcohol on the site. 

Attire: You should bring warm clothing as some activities are held outside. You may also decide to wear a plaid shirt - the traditional sugar shack attire. 

Registration: Register online (credit card only) before Monday November 18, 2024 at 11:45 p.m. Limited places: first come, first served!

Non-refundable ticket: If you cannot come, you may transfer your ticket to someone else.

Bad weather: In the event that the site is closed due to very bad weather conditions, you will be notified of the cancellation or postponement of the activity by email and will be reimbursed if applicable.
