Come and deepen your knowledge of the history of Quebec City, of the province of Quebec and of Canada in the company of professional guides on this guided walking tour of Old Quebec.
On this tour, you will learn about the key moments and periods in the history of Quebec and Canada, from the First Nations, through the French and British colonizations, to the creation of the Canadian Confederation and its evolution over the past 150 years. The impact of various waves of immigration, industrialization and urbanization will also be discussed. In addition, you'll learn more about Quebec culture, folklore and local traditions.
Technically, the activity consists of a 2.5-hour guided walking tour of the Old Port, Old Quebec and Parliament Hill.
When: Saturday September 21, 2024. Departure at 1:30 p.m. between the Ernest-Lemieux and Alphonse-Desjardins pavilions. Departure to go back to campus at 4:45 p.m. and return to campus around 5 p.m.
Cost: 18$, including tour, fees and taxes and round-trip bus transportation. Ticket only valid on departure from Université Laval.
Meals: It is possible to bring your own snacks. No stop to get food is planned during the tour.
Clothing: The tour takes place entirely outside, so bring clothing depending on the temperature. This activity will take place regardless of the weather forecast, except in the event of a severe storm.
Registration: Purchase tickets online only (credit card) before Thursday Septembre 12 at 11 p.m. Limited places: first come, first served!
Non-refundable ticket: If you are unable to attend, you can transfer your ticket to another person.
