*** Activity exclusively reserved for Université Laval students***

To get a taste of what winter has to offer in fun and sports, the Bureau de la vie étudiante invites you to a day of snowshoeing and cross country skiing at the Station touristique Duchesnay. Whether you are just starting out or are already a winter sports aficionado, this activity is for you. On its 89 km2, the Station touristique Duchesnay offers 70 km of trails for cross country skiing as well as a vast white forest for snowshoeing.

The day is divided in two parts: a morning of cross country skiing, followed by a guided off the trails snowshoeing expedition in the afternoon. The guides will provide numerous tips and information throughout the day, but only in French. The equipment for these two sports is included. This activity is aimed both for beginners as well as more experienced skiers as two trails are offered: 2km or 7km.

Station touristique Duchesnay: www.sepaq.com/ct/duc

When: Saturday January 19th 2019. We will leave Université Laval at 9 a.m. (between Ernest-Lemieux and Alphonse-Desjardins buildings) and we will be back at the same place around 4 p.m.

Cost: 28 $, including transportation, equipment, service of guides and park entry.

Meal: You can bring your own lunch or you can get a snack on the site. The choice of snacks and meals is very limited, we advise you to bring your own lunch. A microwave oven is available on site.

Attire: The whole day is spent outside, so you should dress accordingly. As winter can be pretty cold, warm clothing (mittens, warm hat and scarf, wool socks, coat, winter boots) are required. If possible, dress with breathable clothing made for winter sport.

Weather: In case of very bad weather, you will be advised if the activity is cancelled via email.

Registration: Register online before Wednesday January 16th at 5 p.m. (credit card only) or in person at the Orientation Lounge, room 2470 of the Alphonse-Desjardins building from January 4th, 2019 noon.

No refund.
