Anthony Rozankovic

He was born in Montreal on July 22, 1962. His parents were originally from the former Yugoslavia (Croatia). Anthony Rozankovic began playing the piano at the age of five, sang with Les Petits Chanteurs du Mont-Royal from the age of nine, and studied trombone at Collège Notre-Dame.

From 1980 to 1990, he pursued higher education in composition, musical analysis, harmony, counterpoint, fugue, trombone, and conducting at the Conservatoire de musique du Québec. He completed his studies in 1990, having already won several awards in composition and musical analysis. During his time at the conservatory, he studied and worked with notable figures such as Gilles Tremblay, Gaston Arel, Clermont Pépin, Jacques Faubert, and Raffi Armenian.

Anthony Rozankovic belongs to the end-of-the-century generation of Quebec composers. His music blends multiple styles, ranging from jazz and classical to pop and R&B.

Since 1984, he has composed over 500 works for all types of instrumentation, from solo pieces to symphonic orchestrations, across a variety of projects: concert music, film scores, musicals, theater productions, television themes, and commercial jingles.

Although his work as a composer is vast and diverse, he is also a musical director, conductor, arranger, orchestrator, producer, and pianist.
