Saxophonist, flutist, bass clarinetist and composer, Annie Dominique has been working professionally on the Montreal scene for over 20 years. Following her master's degree from McGill University, which she obtained in 2014 with distinction, Annie began writing her first albums as a musician/composer. The tenor saxophonist's arrangements take the form of a quintet and Tout Autour (2015) as well as Rue Langevin (2017) will be released under the name Annie Dominique Quintet. Critics are unanimous in both the French and English media; Annie Dominique's incisive and modern jazz will leave its mark on the Montreal scene. The quintet is preparing its third album, to be released in the spring of 2022. In addition to being a member of the late Vic Vogel's ensemble, Le Jazz Big Band, Annie has been invited to participate in several concerts with different groups including the Orchestre National de Jazz de Montréal, the Jazzlab Orchestra, the Jean-Nicolas Trottier Tentet, the Taylor Donaldson Big Band and the Beth McKenna Jazz Orchestra. She was also the guest of Yves Léveillé for his show La Ruche Intergénérationnelle presented at Théâtre Outremont in May 2021.

Another musical project formed by Annie was recently born. Annie Dominique et ses invités, which presented its very first show in June 2021 in Morin Heights, featuring traditional and festive jazz music with a New Orleans flavour and whose musical arrangements are signed by the saxophonist.

Annie Dominique has also participated in the recording of various albums; Jean-Nicolas Trottier Big Band and Tentet (Blue Lines), Sunset Hill Jazz Band (Jazz Poetry and Oasis), Briga (Femme), Beth McKenna Jazz Orchestra (Start, Home), Caracol (L'Arbre Aux Parfums), Simon Legault Quartet (Misrememberings), the ID jazz quintet, Plants and Animals (Park Avenue), etc. As a freelancer, Annie has collaborated with pianist/composer Jonathan Cayer as a flutist and clarinetist for the recording of music for various television series and short films composed by him. She has also joined various artists and events such as Ariane Moffat at the Francopholies in 2019, Elvis Expérienceb at the Casino de Montréal in 2018 and 2019, Ici on chante, a special Christmas show hosted by Véronic Dicaire in 2018, On connaît la chanson, a show presented on the TVA channel in 2014, the 10th anniversary of the Festival du Bout du Monde de Gaspé, hosted by Normand Brathwaite in 2013, and the Harley Davidson show presented at the Bell Centre in 2013, with Éric Lapointe and his guests.

With the collaboration of Jonathan Cayer (pianist) and Catherine K. Laflamme (visual artist), Annie Dominique presented, thanks to a grant from the Conseil des Arts de Longueuil, a colorful show combining musical compositions, painting and poetry by Pierre Perrault.
