Duo Beija-Flor, flute and guitar, presents COSTAS, Latin songs and rhythms of the Atlantic shores, a musical journey spiced up by the effluvia of tango, flamenco, samba, Cuban jazz, Portuguese fado and Sephardic songs from Spain. This is a classical concert that breaks the mould and amazes audiences with the virtuosity of its closely partnered musicians. Duo Beija-Flor brings renewal to the classical concert by adding contemporary folk colouring. They have performed in four countries and will join the artists touring with Prairie Debut in 2020-21. Since the 2011 launch of their first album "Envol" on the Réseau Accès Culture, Duo Beija-Flor has performed in Canada, the United States and Argentina. They have also been guests on various radio and television programs in Canada and the United States with their unique approach to ethno-classical music.
