The Concours musical international de Montréal is pleased to partner with the Centre d’art de Richmond for the third year of its Concours sur la route, an initiative that offers Quebec presenters the opportunity to introduce their audiences to exceptionally talented young international artists.

The Concours musical international de Montréal is a prestigious competition where the international elite of the new generation of classical musicians compete. Under the watchful eye of an international jury composed of leading figures in classical music, the Competition brings the world's best young artists to the forefront by helping to launch their careers.

Founded in 2001 by internationally renowned bass Joseph Rouleau (1929-2019) and politician and philanthropist André Bourbeau (1936-2018), the Concours musical international de Montréal was born out of a desire to offer Montreal a prestigious, high-level international competition.

Since its first edition in 2002, the Competition has brought together exceptional musicians from the new musical generation every year. It allows competitors to measure their talents against those of other young people and give their careers a boost from Montreal.

Stay tuned for the unveiling of the artists!
