The Phaeton Piano Trio features three top German artists of international standing, Friedemann Eichhorn, Peter Hörr and Florian Uhlig, who form one of the most exciting piano trios on the international concert scene. As successful soloists for over twenty years, they are at home on the major stages of Europe, overseas and Asia, and have released numerous award-winning recordings. As a trio, they have performed in the major music capitals of Europe, South America and North America, including concerts at the Library of Congress in Washington, the Frick Collection in New York and the Fundación Beethoven in Santiago de Chile. The trio's extensive repertoire ranges from Haydn, Beethoven and Dvořák to Wolfgang Rihm. In 2023, the Phaeton Piano Trio began recording piano trios by Saint-Saens, Fauré, and Huré.

“This intensity fascinated from the very start. Every bow attack, every caesura, the formation of every tone along with the dialogue-like ensemble between violin and cello, and the pearl-like ease of the piano, all contributed to the impression that the trio not only shone as brilliant soloists, but that they joined to present an organic “sound body”. And thus the interpretation turned into a thrilling collective act.” – Westdeutsche Zeitung
