earthdancers is a student-run, non-profit, modern dance company founded in 1989 by Sunny Dixon, Heidi Strauss and Stephanie Thompson. Since then, earthdancers has donated over $173,000 from ticket sales to Friends of the Earth (Canada), VETAC (the Vegetation Enhancement Technical Advisory Committee of Sudbury), the Junction Creek Stewardship Committee, the Trans-Canada Trail, Roots and Shoots, the World Wildlife Fund, Light Up the World, Wild at Heart, the Earth Day Committee of Sudbury and Friends of the Roxborough Greenbelt. earthdancers continues to evolve but their focus remains the same… using their passion for dance to raise funds to protect our environment.
