WORKSHOP AM - Statistics: ntroduction to reproductible research and data manipulation in R (beginner)
In this workshop, we will introduce popular R packages for the visualization (ggplot2) and transformation (dplyr) of tabular data. We will use RMarkdown to combine text, code and output into reproducible research documents.
Instructors: Philippe Marchand, UQAT profesor; Animesh Ghose, UQAT PhD student; and Kobra Maleki, UQAT postdoctoral fellow
Requirements: Basic familiarity with the R programming language and RStudio programming interface.
The workshop will be held in a computer lab, so participants don’t need to bring their laptops. Participants bringing their own computers must have recent versions of R and RStudio installed.
*Lunch is not included. If you would like to have a meal provided after the workshop, you can buy a ticket for it for an additional $12.

Dans cet atelier, nous vous présenterons des packages populaires pour la visualisation (ggplot2) et la transformation (dplyr) des tableaux de données. Nous utiliserons RMarkdown afin de combiner du texte, du code et des résultats d’analyses dans des documents favorisant la reproductibilité de la recherche.
Formateurs : Philippe Marchand, professeur UQAT; Animesh Ghose, doctorant UQAT; et Kobra Maleki, postodoctorante UQAT
Pré-requis : Connaissance de base du langage de programmation R et de l’interface RStudio.
L’atelier aura lieu dans un laboratoire d’informatique, alors les participants ne sont pas obligés d’apporter leur ordinateur portable. Les participants qui apporteront leur ordinateur devront s’assurer d’avoir des versions récentes de R et RStudio installées.
*Le lunch n’est pas inclus. Si vous aimeriez avoir un repas fourni après l’atelier, il vous faut acheter votre billet au coût de 12$.
