Saxophonist Jacques Schwarz-Bart continues his exploration of Haitian mizik rasin music, rooted in the Vaudou cultural tradition. In a trio format with minimalist instrumentation, featuring the Montrealer Malika Tirolien on voice and Tiga Jean-Baptiste on percussion, Voodoo Jazz trio takes us from meditation to a trance-like state of bliss.
