Alberto Mesirca

Alberto Mesirca is an award-winning Italian classical guitarist, recognized internationally for his exceptional talent and acclaimed recordings, including his interpretation of Scarlatti's works. He graduated with highest honors from the Conservatory of Castelfranco Veneto and continued his advanced studies in Germany, earning top distinctions and two prestigious Golden Guitar awards. Mesirca has contributed to music research by rediscovering unpublished compositions by Francesco Da Milano, inspiring new works by contemporary composers. He has performed, taught, and given masterclasses at renowned festivals, universities, and concert halls across Europe, North America, Australia, and New Zealand, collaborating with many distinguished musicians. His achievements also include Grammy recognition, creating the digital musical archive of Istanbul's Beyazit Library, premiering new compositions, and winning another Golden Guitar for his album British Guitar Music.

As part of the 25th edition of Creole Month in Montreal, KEPKAA, in partnership with the Society for Research and the Promotion of Haitian Music (SRDMH), invites you to a classical guitar concert presented by Alberto Mesirca.

This special event will pay tribute to Frantz Casséus (1915–1993), a master of Haitian classical guitar. The program will showcase several of his most celebrated works.
