Black Eyes
Black Eyes are Dan, Daniel, Hugh, Jacob, and Mike. They began playing as Black Eyes in August of 2001, although most of the band had played together previously in Trooper and the No-Gos before that. The band's first-full length was released on Dischord in 2003 following several singles on Ruffian Records and Planaria.
Black Eyes created a unique live experience as the members made a symmetrical shape on stage, two drummers, one on either side of the stage, two bass players, one at the back and one at the front, and one guitarist in the middle. Their shows were chaotic and often melted down into frenzied, rhythmic jam sessions, with most of the audience partaking in the mayhem by the end of the set.
After an extensive tour with Q and Not U, the band released their second full-length, "Cough", in May of 2004. This album introduced saxophone to the mix and relied more heavily on improvisational and dub influences that were hinted at in their earlier work. The band broke up shortly before the album was released.
In 2023, Black Eyes reunited to perform a series of concerts tied to the 20th anniversary of their debut album. A new record, Hostile Design, followed in 2025.

Hailing from Montreal, Thee Soreheads are a dynamic feminist punk band that has been unapologetically shaking up the Montréal music scene with their raw sound and powerful message. Formed in 2023, the band draws inspiration from iconic acts like Bikini Kill and the high-octane energy of Amyl and the Sniffers, combining fierce riffs with incisive lyrics that challenge societal norms and advocate for gender equality.
Thee Soreheads have quickly made a name for themselves, earning acclaim for their electrifying live performances, and winning the legendary Prix de Public at Cabaret Festif 2026. They opened for renowned act Grimskunk at MTelus April 2025, and have shared the stage with acts: The Courettes, Les Breastfeeders, and Mary Shelley. Their music resonates with listeners who seek both empowerment and authenticity, making them a standout act in the current punk landscape.
With a growing fanbase and an unwavering commitment to their feminist ideals, Thee Soreheads have recently released their debut EP I’m Not Your Fucking Sex Doll on Outhouse Records in November of last year. They are also set to release their debut full-length album later this year, along with an upcoming Western Canada tour set for Fall 2026 and highly anticipated performances at Taverne Tour 2026, NXNE 2026, Sled Island 2026, Fauve Mauve 2026, Auberge Festive Seashack 2026, Festival OFF 2026, Pop Montreal 2026, Le Festif Baie Saint Paul 2026, Festival de La Chanson de Tadoussac 2027 and Phoque Off 2027. Thee Soreheads are here to make noise, take space, and leave no eardrum unbruised.
