Sam Krüger

Following a failed career at McDonald's, Sam moved to Montréal in order to pursue music.

A decade later, he has become known for his vulnerable songwriting. While rooted in folk, his music draws heavily from early R&B, bubblegum pop, vintage crooners, and the emotive jazz stylings of singers like Billie Holiday.

Depending on the night, Sam will hit the stage for a stripped-back, captivating solo performance that captures the quiet intimacy of his bedroom-style recordings, or join forces with his powerhouse collective of heavy-hitters (Tim Savard, Neil Robinson, and Brydone Charlton) for an expansive full-band set that leans more into catchy pop melodies and groove. Either way, it’s an evening of music that critic Jacques Boivin once described as "quasi-religious folk that grabs you by the guts but warms you like a soft wind from the south."
