SARAH SOKAL (Lebel)
A versatile vocalist with a remarkable range spanning from C3 to G6, Sarah Sokal is a force to be reckoned with. She boasts a diverse repertoire of over 60 songs, predominantly within the Blues, Pop-Blues, and Adult Contemporary genres. For years, she has captivated audiences with her band, The Sarah Sokal Band, known for its fusion of Top 40 hits and soulful blues, gracing stages at private events, charity fundraisers, and corporate functions.
In addition to her achievements as a performer, Sarah has dedicated herself to nurturing young talent as a private vocal coach for children and teenagers. Her journey as an artist has been enriched through collaborations and mentorship with renowned Canadian artists and JUNO AWARD winners and nominees.
A GLIMPSE INTO HER BACKGROUND
Sarah Sokal, of French-Canadian descent with Abenaki-Odanak ancestry, hails from Montreal. Her musical journey began at a tender age, crafting her first song in French, aptly titled "Pourquoi" (translated as "WHY"), at just 5 years old. By 15, she had already ventured into professional recording with her debut track "I'm Lost."
As a teenager, Sarah honed her craft alongside a seasoned mentor, performing for Canadian and American tourists in hotels and auberges nestled between Montreal and Quebec. Over the years, she dedicated herself to mastering vocal technique, songwriting prowess, and the intricacies of mixing and production.
