Three gleaners gather and hoard their lives in their grain storehouse… or is it more of a struggle… or perhaps a playground? Jasmine, Rose, and Ben live to the rhythm of rice. The rice that sings. The rice that dances. Together, they shape and reshape the seasons of this luminous little grain that nourishes so many, amidst laughter and playful abandon.


Inspired by the painting "The Gleaners" that hung on the walls of our parents' and grandparents' homes, ORYZA pays homage to these women, their backs bent in the fields, gathering the last grains after the harvest.

La Place des Arts du Grand Sudbury is located at 27 Larch Street, Sudbury ON P3E 1B7

Place des Arts does not have its own parking lot, we encourage you to use the downtown parking.

Parking fees can be paid using your mobile device and the HotSpot Parking app.

You can also pay at the parking meter if you prefer.

However, city parking (B10) and parking along Elgin and Larch streets is free in the evenings and on weekends.

Théâtre des Petites Âmes

Théâtre des Petites Âmes fosters an intimate connection that allows its audience to experience the worlds it creates firsthand. Initially, the theatre focused on creating works for young children, specifically those aged 2 ½ and up. Projects for adults are also in development, but the core of the theatre remains the exploration and research process.


Since its inception, the company has performed over 1,150 shows and travelled thousands of kilometers, from Natashquan to Rouyn, and from Caraquet to Vancouver.


Théâtre des Petites Âmes' mission is to create, produce, and present intimate works of puppetry, object theatre, and mask theatre.
