The Sansregret Funeral Home is a family affair. Since the death of her husband Paul-André, Lyne has been working tirelessly to keep the family business afloat in a tight-knit little community. Freshly graduated with an MBA in management, her son P.-A. returns from the big city to lend his mother a hand. In Lyne's eyes, the business is doing well, but the accounting ledgers tell a completely different story.

In this dark comedy, mother and son both try to honor Paul-André's memory. Lyne defends a human and benevolent approach. P.-A. imposes modern, creative, and lucrative business strategies, though his ethics are somewhat questionable. Will the Sansregrets manage to overcome their many challenges and maintain good relationships with grieving families, suppliers, young employees, and community members?
