Ensemble La Cigale with guest artist David Menzies, tenor, presents The Seven Joys of Mary, a festive concert celebrating the warmth and spirit of the holiday season. Drawing on the rich English and Celtic carol traditions, the program features songs both poignant and joyful from all over the British Isles. Interwoven with these are traditional instrumental tunes by Scottish composers James Oswald and William McGibbon, and lively selections from The English Dancing Master. Together, they create a vibrant tapestry of music to brighten the winter season.

David Menzies (guest), tenor; Vincent Lauzer, recorders; Sari Tsuji, baroque violin; Sara Lackie, baroque harp; Marie-Laurence Primeau, viola, recorder; Madeleine Owen, lute, theorbo, musical direction
