Discover rakugo, the traditional Japanese art of comedic storytelling, which was developed as a form of entertainment during the Edo period (1603–1868). Dressed in a kimono, the storyteller sits cross-legged throughout the performance. He portrays all the characters, using only a fan and a square of cloth. With these simple props and thanks to his acting skills, he must make the audience laugh and feel a range of emotions. The punchline of the story is one of the most important moments!
