SUSSEX: BLUES AND BEYOND

Sussex is the brainchild of Rob Lutes and Michael Emenau, childhood friends from New Brunswick who reunited in Montreal to explore the frontiers of the roots music they had loved as kids. Lutes, an accomplished singer-songwriter and noted fingerstyle guitarist with eight albums under his own name, weds his own driving blues-folk style with the jazz and ambient sounds of Emenau, a world-class vibraphonist and composer. The result is Sussex - a unique blend of sounds that gets close to the heart of 20th century American music.
