Jessica Moss is best known as violinist, backing vocalist and co-composer with the acclaimed cult chamber-punk band Thee Silver Mt. Zion Memorial Orchestra, the avant-klezmer group Black Ox Orkestar, and for her involvement in multiple records by Carla Bozulich’s Evangelistaand two albums by Vic Chesnutt. In the last 18 months she has been invited to perform solo at Le Guess Who festival in Utrecht, ATP festival in Wales, Winnipeg New Music Festival, Big Ears Festival in Knoxville, Pop Montreal, the Biennale, and Suoni Per Il Popolo festivals in Montreal, and has supported Julia Holter, Godspeed You Black Emperor, Stars of the Lid, and Jerusalem In My Heart. A sought-after guest live and in studio, notable most recent examples are Big Brave for their previous and upcoming releases with Southern Lord, and Zu for their critically acclaimed recent release Jhator out on House of Mythology. She released her debut solo record Pools of Light recorded by Radwan Ghazi Moumneh on Constellation Records May 2017.

Her Harbour is the moniker of Montreal born, Ottawa based singer-songwriter Gabrielle Giguère. Employing autoharp and piano as her primary instruments of accompaniment, Giguère crafts deeply personal songs driven by her evocative voice and use of silence and rhythmic space. Her Harbour’s sophomore effort Go Gently into the Night, is a collection of eight dream folk songs set in the Canadian landscape and focuses on how life and mortality occupy the seasons.

Violinist Jessica Moss is a well-known fixture of the Montreal underground and independent music scene. Part of the Constellation family since it’s beginnings, she is best known as a permanent member of Silver Mt Zion. She was also a founding member of Black Ox Orkestar, an integral part of Vic Chestnut’s albums on the label, and featured on Carla Bozulich’s Evangelista.
She has collaborated extensively with New York based film maker Jem Cohen and his Gravity Hill project, along with Guy Picciotto (Fugazi), Jim White (Dirty Three, Xylouris White) and Matana Roberts among others.
