In this course, we will continue our exploration of bondage, looking at simple structures that are easy to adapt to different body types, and we will see how to let our imaginations run wild when playing with our partner. We will learn new ways to communicate and influence the play session. Class taught by MlleKate and depravedPanther. It will be preceded by a 101 course, on which the notions of the 102 course are based.
About...
Kate (they/she) - This top leaning switch has been active in the Montreal rope community since 2015. They have a solid base in Japanese bondage (Shibari), to which are added knowledge borrowed from other styles of bondage, as well as various arts of movement and the body. Kate takes great pleasure in deconstructing dogmas related to rope and BDSM, as well as preconceived ideas that people might have about them.
depravedPanther (him) - Half-man, half-korrigan, this mischievous and rather endearing little beast loves to be manhandled and tormented in ropes. In search of thrills, he got there through the BDSM universe and his favorite game is to explore its many facets.
Land acknowledgement: The city widely known as Montreal is also called Tio'tia: ke. This unceded territory has been a place of meeting and exchange for 5,000 years for multiple nations, including the Haudenosaunee (Kanien’kehà: ka) and Anishinaabeg people. We honor, recognize and respect these nations as guardians of the land and water on which we meet.
When: May 14, 2022, 2:45 to 5pm - Doors 2:30am (Montreal/Tio'tia:ke time - EDT)
Who: Beginners. LGBTQ+ & allies. 18+
Solo or Partnered: Both. Each participant needs a ticket. Some exercises require a partner. You can try to find a partner on the spot, but it is not an obligation and it is possible to observe and take notes.
Format: In person
Language: English/French (will be adapted to participants)
Prerequisites: Have a basic knowledge of the risks associated with bondage. For riggers, be comfortable tying a single column tie. You can find my tutorial here: https://youtu.be/aHKvgq9WvZ0 . For people in ropes, know how to complete safety checks for sensation and movement.
Material needed: 3 ropes (8-9m), your safety tool.
Cost: $20/$25/$30 — $10 off if you take courses 101 and 102 — Access to rope activities has for a long time been only accessible to financially privileged people. In the aim to share that privilege, please choose the rate that works for you financially. We trust you. <3
