THE JOE SULLIVAN BIG BAND: SWINGING CHRISTMAS!

We would like to thank the Friends of Stewart Hall Foundationfor their contribution to this concert.

Join the Joe Sullivan Big Band for a swinging Christmas celebration. This special evening features Duke Ellington and Billy Strayhorn’s legendary reimagining of Tchaikovsky’s Nutcracker Suite, where familiar melodies are transformed into vibrant big band jazz. The suite brings new colours, grooves, and solos to a holiday classic. The program also includes beloved music from A Charlie Brown Christmas and other seasonal favourites, all in fresh arrangements that showcase the power and nuance of a full 17-piece jazz orchestra. Whether you are a jazz aficionado or simply love Christmas music, this concert promises an evening of warmth, swing, and holiday spirit for the whole family.
