"This is the most ambitious album of Will Driving West, yet their most intimate. A success that could very well be their international breakthrough."

- Sylvain Cormier, Le Devoir

Will Driving West begins the year 2019 with a series of three concerts at Verre Bouteille in Montreal to present their new album "Silence" on February 12, March 10 and April 10.

This new album, which earned the second position of Critique De Salon's Olivier Denommée's Top of 2018 list (out of 143 albums reviewed during the year), can truly be appreciated live, enhanced by the stories behind each song told with humor and self-deprecation by its author.

The making of the record having taken more than four intense years, the group took the opportunity to expand its sound spectrum, playing even more with the contrasts that they're known for, alternating effectively between intimate acoustic songs and great epic climaxes (a fancy way of saying it sounds like a ton of bricks).

Will Driving West

Will Driving West makes music from the soul, for the soul. Every song has a story, a purpose. They do not write for the radio, they do not dilute their sound to reach the masses. Sailing under the radar, they nevertheless sold 15,000 albums in an era when no one sells albums anymore, they played hundreds of shows including Montreal International Jazz Festival and Canadian Music Week and they accomplished that while being completely independent and self-managed. Their music has been featured on international film credits, popular TV series and commercials on more than 30 occasions. They are currently composing the score for Louise Archambault's upcoming film, "And the birds rained down”.
